*Click Media button above for PDF of photo album (in-house only)* The collection consists of photographs from the 1880s-1980s documenting the families of Carolyn Sloss (1906-1993) and James "Jimmy" Joseph Drautman (1902-1988), who were married in 1932 and lived in Louisville, Kentucky. Both Carolyn and Jimmy were members of established German-Jewish families in Louisville. Their children were James "Jimmy" Drautman, Jr., and Elizabeth "Betsy" Drautman. Betsy was born to Carlotta "Carlie" and Bobby Sloss in 1942. Carrye Sloss, Carolyn, and Jimmy Drautman helped take care of Betsy while Bobby Sloss was in Europe during World War II. When Carlotta and Bobby Sloss divorced, Betsy was adopted by Carolyn and Jimmy Drautman. The photographs are from an album put together by Betsy's daughter Amy Teiser Wagner (formerly Amy Teiser Peck) for Carolyn Sloss Drautman. For preservation purposes, the photographs were removed from the album and foldered. Manuscript items from the photo album have been transferred to the Sloss-Drautman family papers [Mss. A S634]. **Click on Media button above for a scan of the photo album pages (in-house only). Folder 1 contains photographs (022PC24.001-.017) from pages 1-8 of the album.
