Photographic prints removed from a copy of the book History of the Congregation of Adath Israel, Louisville, Kentucky, and the Addresses Delivered at the Dedication of Its New Temple, September 7, 8, and 9, 1906. The collection consists of photographic images of the new Temple Adath Israel on Third Street between York and Breckinridge [021PC18.1], the Chapel at the Adath Israel Cemetery [021PC18.2], the Old Temple at the corner of Broadway and Sixth Street [021PC18.3], Rabbi Hyman Enelow [021PC18.4], the pulpit of the Old Temple [021PC18.5], and the organ of the Old Temple [021PC18.6]. Adath Israel was founded in 1843 as Adas Israel, a founding member of Reform Judaism's Union of American Hebrew Congregations.
