Description |
This is a small group of 30 images, most of which depict homes and buildings all across Louisville where Gastream Heating was installed. The locations vary from West Louisville, to the Highlands, to Downtown. Newton Crain, a Texas man who moved to Louisville around 1925 began working as a plumber, a gas pipe fitter, and a salesman for the Modern Heating Company, which later became known as the Clow Gastream Heating Company. Crain photographed these buildings as he installed their heating systems.
