The Rogers Clark Ballard Thruston Photograph collection has been divided into several series. This record is part of the Jefferson County series, which has been further subdivided to reflect specific subjects or events. cav This subseries of photographs, taken over various years, shows The Filson Club (now known as the Filson Historical Society), its employees and its holdings when the Club was located at 118 and 120 West Breckinridge St. The Thruston photographs run from TC-0153 - TC-0315. A selection of this subseries has been described and digitized: TC-0157: View of the south side of West Breckenridge Street between 1st and 2nd Streets. The Durretts claimed that it was the campaign sword of Gen. George Rogers Clark 1752-1818. Undated TC-0215: Photograph of keyed bugles of the Louisville Volunteer Fire Department. Undated TC-0217: Photograph of three large speaking tubes from the Old Louisville Volunteer Fire Department. The tubes were given to three different people. Undated TC-0218: Photograph of three small speaking tubes from the Old Louisville Volunteer Fire Department. The tube on the left is copper. The other two are brass. Undated TC-0256: Photograph of the standard of the 9th Kentucky Cavalry, Union, Civil War 1861-1865. The flag commemorates the defeat and capture of Confederate General John Hunt Morgan.
