Description |
Collection consists of 29 black-and-white and color photographs of Louisville's Jewish Family and Vocational Service (JFVS) leadership, staff, and events. Included is a black-and-white photograph of Jewish social service leaders Al Erlen, Lewis Cole, Bernard Trager, and others at the Jewish Home for Convalescent Children, ca. 1950-1970 [019PC42.01] and an individual black-and-white photograph taken by Gus Frank of Al Erlen, head of the Jewish Social Service Agency (JSSA) [019PC42.02]. Photographs from ca. 1971-2001 depict past JSSA and JFVS presidents, including Lewis Cole and Robert Loeb [019PC42.04], Shelton Weber [019PC42.03], Mitch Charney [19PC42.05], Shirley Markus [019PC42.06, 019PC42.10], Dr. Jeff Weiss [019PC42.07, 019PC42.11], Lillian Seligman [019PC42.12], Gail Pohn [019PC42.13], Marjorie Kohn [019PC42.14], and Steve Shapiro [019PC42.14, 019PC42.17]. Also pictured in photographs from 1980-2000 are JFVS professional leadership and staff, including Stephanie Speigel [19PC42.05], Judy Freundlich Tiell [019PC42.15], Bernice Ament [019PC42.16], Ed Bornstein [019PC42.17], and the entire JFVS staff in 1997 taken by J.R. Photographic Service [019PC42.18]. Pictured in another set of photographs are some of the Jewish community members and leaders who participated in the third annual Jewish Family and Vocational Service golf tournament on September 28, 1990 [019PC42.19-29].
