Description |
Reproduction of a photograph of "Rose Hill" at 1835 Hampden Court in the Highlands neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky. The photograph shows the front of the two-story Italianate-style house, with three women standing or sitting in front of the house, and a girl and a boy sitting in the foreground. The house was built ca. 1848-1852 by Emory Low, a wealthy Louisville merchant. In 1975, the house was bought by Louisville graphic designer and artist Julius Friedman. This photograph was given to Friedman by a woman who remembered attending balls at the property. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. |
