Description |
A small grouping of tin-types and cartes-de-visite of members of the Wellman, Williamson, and Burgess families of Boyd County, Kentucky. The photographs were included within and removed from the geneological portion of the family bible. Featured in the collection are Susan Burgess Wellman, William "McGuffey" Wellman, Wallace J. Williamson, John B. Wellman, Ceres Wellman Williamson, Pearl and Harry Davis, Ben Williamson, Jeremiah Wellman, George Burgess, John Burgess, and Martha Spurlock Burgess. John B. Wellman (son of Jeremiah Wellman and Zerilda Bowen) and Susan Burgess (daughter of George Burgess and Martha Spurlock) married in Boyd County on October 1, 1860. They had two children, William McGuffy Wellman and Ceres Wellman Williamson. Ceres was married to Ben Williamson, and they were the parents of Wallace J. Williamson.
