Description Front entrance of the Edwin Hite Ferguson Mansion which now houses The Filson Historical Society. Built in the Beaux-Arts style, the fa├žade boasts oval cartouche over the doors, an entry porch roof supported by classical columns, and a mansard, or flat roof. The mansion construction took four years, 1901-1905 and was commissioned by the Louisville architectural firm of Cobb and Dodd.
